We are currently looking for a Systems Administrator to join the Control Room Nights team at Omega. You will be on a rotational shift pattern in order to provide the best support level over a 24-hour period.

What will you be doing?

As part of the Control Room team you will bring an analytical and problem solving mentality to first line support on all systemic issues regarding the WMS (Warehouse Management System) and SCADA (Supervisory Data Acquisition) applications. If additional support is required from an alternate team then you will use precise and thorough communication skills to escalate issues to the relevant people.

As well as system management you will need to keep all key stakeholders within the business up-to-speed by using the various reporting tools at our disposal.

The post centers on a highly dynamic workload and the ability to work with; Managers, Contractors and Teams across all levels will be vital.

We are looking for someone with a keen eye for detail and demonstrated problem solver. You will ideally come from an Automated Warehouse with exposure to WMS and/or SCADA applications but ultimately, someone who is looking to take on the challenge with opportunities for progression.

Overall Purpose of Role:

 Monitoring and escalating issues around the smooth and efficient running of the day-to-day operation

 Provide 1st line support for all issues raised to the Control Room and escalating mechanical breakdowns to the on-site service Engineers

 Liaising planned system deployments (software updates) to all affected teams and making sure the system is handed over in a correct state

 Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients at all levels

 Ability to prioritize own work load, keeping to strict deadlines and disclosure requirements

 Understanding and exposure to a wide range of Microsoft applications; Excel, Office, Outlook etc.

 Ability to show a proactive work ethic in identifying problems and solutions to rectify issues, and work as part of a close team


Key responsibilities / duties

 Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety regulations

 Have an in-depth understanding of the site’s end-to-end process

 Ensure a high standard of Order Fulfilment is maintained at all times

 Communicate with all operational personnel regarding Routine and reactive warehouse requirements

 Communicate with maintenance supervisors / technicians regarding Routine and pre-emptive warehouse requirements

 Working closely with the Site and Supervisors to maintain a high standard of Continuous Improvement

 Competent user of Excel, Word, Access and Outlook

 Utilize relevant company planning and reporting resources in daily activities
