The Hut Group is looking to recruit a Senior Buyer for our own premium beauty brands. As the sourcing lead you will be responsible for developing, implementing and effectively managing a sourcing strategy for all elements of our beauty brands growing portfolio. From packaging, raw materials and fragrance to the final out sourced finished goods. This is a great opportunity to develop and showcase your skills whilst shaping procurement within this area and networking with the group procurement function within The Hut Group.
Your main focus will be managing day-to-day operations with external manufacturers & suppliers.
You will drive the strategic development of the supplier base for packaging, ingredients and Beauty co-manufacturing with full responsibility for building strong relationships with suppliers and negotiating favourable terms for the company.
This is a commercial role where you will focus on cost, quality, service and value initiatives with suppliers to maximise profitability, deliver business as usual, introduce NPD and lead all procurement activities for brand acquisitions.
You will lead and develop your team and ensure they deliver a consistent approach with suppliers and manage all day to day operational procurement requirements in an efficient, timely and cost effective manner
Developing cost models to support understanding of the portfolio along with identifying new cost saving opportunities and forecasting price changes.
You will work closely with Demand and Supply Chain planning for maintaining appropriate inventory levels (ingredients, packaging, and finished goods), the Logistics team and the Project Teams for the delivery of NPD (new product development).
To be considered you will need to have
Experience of supply chain management and strategic sourcing ideally in a Personal Care or Beauty and experience managing direct reports.
Experience in tender preparation, supplier appraisals and contract negotiation across a variety of different product types and high number of suppliers.
A strong commercial awareness, ability to manage finances and balance cost versus quality decisions and a great leader with strong analytical and problem solving skills.

Advanced skills with Excel. Comfortable working with an ERP (Sage).
