The Role:

GLOSSYBOX, Europe’s number one provider of beauty box subscription services, has

recently been acquired by The Hut Group and is located in Berlin, the European Silicon

Valley. We are seeking to recruit a qualified, ambitious Finance & Tax Manager to join and lead the Finance team in Berlin.

Main Responsibilities

- Primary point of contact for the German and Polish tax authorities

‐ Prepare German tax accounting numbers under German GAAP and calculates

German and Polish tax payments

‐ Ensure the accounting/tax function is fit for purpose from a German tax authority

perspective i.e. books and records available to be audited on-site

‐ Create sales tax returns and annual declarations in Germany, Poland, France,

Sweden and the UK

‐ Create Intercompany and barter invoices

‐ Maintain bridge between German GAAP and IFRS

‐ Submit statutory accounts to Group Financial Controller for review, before

submitting to authorities

‐ Review Month end B/S and P/L for Germany

‐ Maintain fixed asset register locally

‐ Regular review with AP/AR leads at THG HQ in the UK

‐ Project tasks related to the acquisition, e.g. supporting tax audits relating to seller tax

period, reviewing pre-completion tax returns prepared by the seller prior to filing,

ensuring compliance with obligations under the SPA

‐ Closely working together with our external tax advisors and CPAs as well as with

THG’s Group Tax Director and the Financial department in the UK

Requirements

Desired Skills and Experience:

‐ Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or similar discipline

‐ Certifications such as Certified Accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter) or Certified Tax

Assistant (Steuerfachangestellter) are a plus

‐ Between 2-4 years’ work experience
