With a growing presence on a global scale, coupled with aggressive plans for expansion, we are looking for an Internal Communications Manager to help support our ambitions.
You will require a good degree of expertise in executing a communications strategy and will be responsible for dealing with media requests, managing the Group’s information flow, and securing media coverage of the highest quality.

This is a NEW function for THG to build and establish an internal communications strategy from scratch. As a result we are looking for someone with a hands-on challenger mind-set who can design, deliver and implement a world class communications strategy, prove the value and build a team thereafter.
We want Internal Communications to sits at the heart of THG, connecting our organisation’s employees to each other, sharing announcements and news across divisions.
THG is on an unprecedented growth trajectory and has grown from 1000 to 4000 staff in two years and in the same time period exploded from 1 office in Manchester to Global locations in London, Europe (Paris, Stockholm, Berlin), USA (New York, Salt Lake City) & APAC (Brisbane, Asia to follow).

Reporting into the Group Head of PR:
Ø Connecting 4000 staff globally and create and understanding of THG strategy and direction via multiple touchpoints (intranet, events, townhalls etc).
Ø Support rapid organisational change using internal communications to bind colleagues with THG culture and direction
Ø Review new and existing internal communications channels and tools, and develop a ‘Communications Toolkit’ ensuring a balanced offering across digital and face-to-face, supporting the business to effectively cascade messaging
- Plan, edit and write accurate, clear and engaging content for a variety of internal communications mediums such as email, monthly newsletters, video, social media as well as developing layout and story-boards.
- Project planning and delivery of initiatives including global webcasts, video creation, Group-wide events and competitions to support overall objectives.
- Research and produce high quality online content for the intranet; writing and publishing notices and features for the homepage and creating/refining/updating pages and mini-sites as required.
Ø Oversee events including staff briefings, town halls, roadshows and engagement/ campaign events.
Ø Create film briefs for key projects, as well as filming and editing short form video.
Ø Build and maintain excellent relationships throughout THG
Ø Define and prepare materials to support leadership communication including support team managers to communicate effectively with their teams.
The Ideal Candidate
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, (verbal and written), including the ability to present clear and concise professional communications to a range of audiences within THG.
Proven experience in the delivery of internal communications and engagement planning.
Ability to investigate, analyse and contextualise issues, identifying key points to be addressed and simple plans to resolve problems.
Proven events management experience
Experienced in refreshing and updating existing intranet or web sites, including knowledge of Content Management Systems (Preferably Immediacy and Wordpress), Photoshop or similar picture manipulating software.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong writing and editorial skills – ability to confidently produce and deliver written content Excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail –ability to prioritise.
Management of a range of communications channels, including bulletins and reports
Ability to balance a very varied workload and to be self- sufficient and hands-on.
