Overall Purpose of Role:
This new and exciting role is perfect for an experienced Supply Chain Planner who is looking to develop a great career in a fast-growing beauty business. You will be responsible for managing the forecasting and business planning of finished goods and in-directs to support the M&A integration of new brands. To work closely with the Marketing, Finance & Retail teams to support and facilitate informed buying decisions, maximizing availability as well as supporting the budgeted sales and profit growth of the division.
Main Activities / Tasks:
The role will involve elements of the following;
- Monitoring weekly sales and identifying any changes in demand
- Plan promotions & activities whilst analysing and adjusting base performance
- Drive the business planning process. Lead business planning meetings
- Working with marketing & sales teams to analyse the sku range to identify & suggest changes in distribution to maximise sales for the brands whilst reducing the tail of the catalogue
- Proactively manage lifecycle items, ensuring new stock levels items are available for product launches and work with the trading teams to reduce SLOB lines. (slow moving and obsolescent lines)
- Work with the wider team to ensure all KPIs are maximized including Net Working Capital, Customer Service Level and forecast accuracy
- Highly numerate with strong analytical & IT skills. (Excel proficient)
- Confident communication skills both verbally and written with internal and external teams.
- Commercial awareness.
- Min 1 year in a similar role- or graduate with industry work placement/ internship.
- A strong understanding of Manufacturing or FMCG supply chain with at least 2 years+ experience
